Thanks for a great time.  Thank you, thank you and thank you again.  If I’ve had more fun, I can’t remember when.  Thank you so much for all you do.  I have no idea how I got home last night - - one minute I was in El Segundo and the next I was home.  I was still a time traveler having an out-of-body experience.  I am so glad I came.

Karen:

Saw the picture this morning of you and your roses, and really must send you a written bouquet from Susan and myself...We had one of the greatest highlights of our lives Saturday night and have you to thank for the most of it...  I know it was a group effort, and the whole committee deserves credit, but there has to be a leader and chief organizer and what a job you did....  Everything from the rooms, to the band, to the memorial, to the little souvenir capsules of sand and shells were terrific!!  I thought I would have a pleasant time, and Susan would not be TOO bored, but the both of us couldn't have had more fun....So, please, if you haven't already done it, sit that butt down, pop a beer or whatever, light up a cigar and kick back for a week or so....  But, not too long, 'cause ya gotta start planning for the forty fifth!!!!!  Also, please thank the 'ol man for his effort also.

Love to the both of you,
Mike-

We e-mailed a couple of you-all, but would like EVERYBODY on the commitee what a wonderful time we had...  The planning and follow-through were done to perfection....  Makes us sorry we missed so many reunions.....  Once again, thanks. Mike and Susan Clute-

What a wonderful weekend.  So many people, so many good conversations, so much fun, and so much hard work done by the committee, and do I ever appreciate it!  I thought as I was walking to my car last night with all the balloons around me, a good caption would have been, 'the party's over!  I made it home in record time with lots of things floating through my mind, and a few laughs about the story that Jim told of falling into the trash can from the bathroom window when trying to run from the cops.

Karen,

Thanks again Karen, love the picture of you with the roses.

Had a wonderful time.  Was especially delighted to see those that I had not seen in 40 years!  And of course the many that I do see and hear from a bit more frequently.  It warms the heart to see everyone doing well.

GREETINGS !!

Ken & I would like to thank everyone  on the Reunion Committee for the great job they did in planning the Big Event.  We had a really good time and enjoyed seeing people we hadn't seen since graduation or before.  You guys did a great job in tracking down people who hadn't been heard from in 40 years.  I am sending a note to some of the people I keep in touch with who didn't show up for the Reunion.  I am going to let them know what they missed !!

                                               THANKS AGAIN,

                                                Janet & Ken Elling

Karen, I certainly enjoyed the experience. The weekend was well run and any problems transparent to the average guest. You are to be commended for your leadership, to Mike for is ability to stay out of your way, and the understanding between the 2 of you, to know when to get out of the way.  That's why you guys have been, so married this long. I personally appreciate your efforts, and admire Mike for the sacrifices he has made, in your behalf.

Dear Karen ,

Just wanted to say thanks for all your work and time in putting together this greatest of class reunions!  You and the committee did a bang up job!!  I know how much time this type of an event takes and all the headaches involved as well.   I for one, greatly appreciated the labor it took to make sure we all had a great time.  The decorations, the facility, the music both nights, all contributed to the best of times.  When I speak of our class reunions, everyone is jealous.  I say "we have a great committee and they put lots of effort and time into getting everyone together"!

THANKS AGAIN !!!  Especially to you but also to the entire committee.

Dear Karen:

Let me thank you for a most extraordinary Reunion.  You accomplished quite a great event.  I can only try to imagine the planning and care that went into the planning stages.  I had a wonderful time and for me, everything was perfect.  The DJ was great as was the band, and everyone was a thrill to see..  It makes my memories alive and reinforces my love for everyone and for Manhattan.  And just seeing old friends and renewing acquaintances was so good.  I guess there's something about reunions, sharing the heart experience of great times gone by and realizing that they are still alive in one way or another.

Thank you for everything.  You did a great job.  You were the main force, the mother of invention.

Love you, Norma

Yes, the party is over, but you folks did one hell of a good job.  I hope you know that some of us do realize how much work goes into producing such a fun party.  Just trying to keep McCaverty in line must have been tough.

Thank you all very much, and we do want to at least have the reunion crew and their husbands, wives, dates, kids or whatever over to our house for a Tri-Tip bar-b-que.

Karen,

Just wanted to thank you for the outstanding job you did with the reunion.  You should know that the other committee members gave you all the credit!!  The little viles of sand with the motto (which I had forgotten) were a nice touch---I put it with my collection of shells I've collected from my travels.  Plus, all the other extras that were given out are much appreciated.

I'm just coming out of the haze I was in after seeing people after 40 yrs!!  The last time I saw them we were 18 yrs old and now we're 58ish..........my brain was trying to fit the mental and physical images together with the names and needless to say, I wasn't always successful..:-(   I didn't have enough time to say hi to everyone I wanted to, so I may use the email addresses you have on the website to make contact.  I spent time with Karen Ruppert and Barbara Larson cuz Karen & I had known each since 3 months old when our parents use to sail together and Barbara and I were stuck together from 6th grade thru most of high school.   Norma & I hadn't seen each other since 8th grade and after catching up it was like we hadn't skipped a beat.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Sorry this is so late in coming.  Things got hectic after I got back home.  I just want to thank you and all the others who worked so hard to make the 40th a wonderful experience for all of us.  It was my first reunion, but I can assure you, it won't be my last.  It was good to see so many familiar and not-so-familiar faces.  It brought back a lot of great memories, like the time I wiped out my mother's car, and Ken Elling's brother Don came to the rescue of me and my friends stranded in the Palos Verdes hills, or the time when we were about 11 or 12 that Nancy Vening and I wiped ourselves out in her backyard.

Anyway I had a great time, my only regret is that I hadn't come to a reunion
sooner.

Take care and thanks again,

Lorraine Morgan
